2007 Film & TV Music Awards
RULES AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Eligibility Period: September 1, 2006 – August 31, 2007

General Rules

This awards program is void where prohibited. Members eligible to join The Film & TV Music Academy are people 18 years of age or older who are currently working or studying to work in the film and television music industry. Each member of The Film & TV Music Academy may record only one vote and/or nomination per category. Duplicate, fraudulent, or otherwise ineligible, incomplete or illegible nominations or otes will be disqualified. The use of this site in all respects is governed by the Global Media Development Group terms of use.

Television Awards

To be eligible, the nominated program or episode nominated must have its first commercial airing (“premiere”) during the eligibility period. Test screenings and other private performances of the program do not count as a “commercial airing”

Reality Shows are defined as shows where unscripted, live performances of a non-comedic nature are the primary content of the show.

Daytime Dramas are defined as shows airing between  8am and 8pm that are primarily dramatic in nature. Comedies, game shows, news shows, and other shows of a non-dramatic nature are not included in this category.

The Comedy Program, Animated Program, Science Fiction Program, and Non-Animated Children’s/Educational Program categories do not have time of day restrictions; programs in these categories may be broadcast at any time.

Film Awards

To be eligible for any of the feature film categories, the film must be at least 80 minutes in length and must have its first commercial airing (“premiere”) during the eligibility period. Test screenings and other private performances of the film do not count as a “commercial airing”

Short films are defined as films of 30 minutes duration or less.

Student films are defined as films of any length produced and directed by full or part-time students as part of a class assignment or other academic work.

Indie Features are defined as feature films produced by an individual or small studio, with a total budget of $10 million or less.

The Don B. Ray Educational Achievement Award is given to teachers and educators who have achieved excellence in the area of education.

The Film & TV Music Award for Outstanding Female Composer is given to female film or television composers who have achieved excellence in composing.

The Film & TV Music Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a member of the film and television music industry whose success in the industry.
